Religious Education RE 1-5

Classes are offered weekly at the International School of Basel, Aesch campus, on Monday afternoons from 3:30-4:30 pm, Mid September through early June. For children who wish to receive the Sacrament of First Holy Communion, attending classes for at least two consecutive years before receiving the Sacrament is a requirement. First Communion is offered to children at the end of RE 2, therefore children would have to attend classes in RE 1 and 2 in order to receive the sacrament. For children who wish to receive the Sacrament of First Reconciliation, attending classes in at least RE 4 is a requirement. First Reconciliation is offered to children at the end of RE 4. Should you just have moved here and would like your child to join one of the sacramental classes, please bring a certificate of attendance from your former parish.

Religious Education RE 6-10

Classes are offered monthly in the church facilities on Sunday afternoons from 3-5pm, Mid September through early June. For teenagers who wish to receive the Sacrament of Confirmation, attending classes for at least two consecutive years before receiving the Sacrament is required. Confirmation is offered to teenagers at the end of RE 10, therefore your teenagers would have to attend at least RE 9 and 10.

Registration

Please download the registration (Registration Form), send it by email to info@esrccb.org or print it out and return it to the letterbox in church with your payment. The letterbox will be out with the hospitality minister every Sunday between May and September.

RE teaching team

The ESRCCB teaching team is always looking for help as in our international community fluctuation is very high due to people moving in and out of Basel constantly. In order to be able to offer a wide variety of classes, new teachers are always welcome.
